“Thumbs up”

Then Börje Salming will also be in place in his former hometown of Toronto, where he is still so incredibly loved after his many years in the Maple Leafs. That is the ambition, if all goes well.
– We have said this: Every day Börje gives the thumbs up to go, then the whole family is determined to go. If he says the day before that he doesn’t want to go, then we won’t go. That is the level we are at, says Pia Salming to SportExpressen.

– The trip should only be for the family, we will not let anyone in. We don’t know how much he will want to participate or something, we have to take it day by day, quite simply, says Pia Salming in the interview.

Salming’s support

In addition, the trip to North America will mean that Börje Salming can receive his long-awaited brake medicine. The 71-year-old will have a set sent to the hotel in Toronto and can then bring the medicine home to Sweden without problems.
