Boris Johnsons letter appeals to Parliament ahead of the

The Partygate scandal could cost Boris Johnson his job tonight.
Now the Prime Minister is trying to gather his party before the no-confidence vote – with a three-page letter:
“It’s a golden opportunity to put this behind us”

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has been in a headwind for a long time after the so-called Partygate scandal.

The BBC has received a copy of it mail which was sent to MEPs ahead of the vote to be taken today.

The letter states, among other things, that the vote is a “golden chance to go ahead and focus on what really matters” for the voters. This, he says, is their chance to “put an end to the media’s favorite obsession and one party”.

For the support, he offers the members “a great price that is within reach”.

He complains about Partygate and writes that in recent months he has had a very hot ear and that he understands that it must have been painful for the party. But, he continues, they made at least “responsible decisions that made us now have low unemployment despite the pandemic”.

He also writes that he has no hope that voters will forgive him for his behavior at some point in the near future. But that he feels hopeful for the future and believes that “we can win again and continue working for the country we love”.

Shortly afterwards, Anti-Corruption Minister John Penrose resigned. On Twitter, he wrote that it is obvious that Johnson has violated the ministerial code over the quarrel over the parties on Downing street.

“It is a matter of resignation for me, and it should be for the Prime Minister as well,” he posted on Twitter, along with his farewell letter.
