A spokesperson for Downing Street this Saturday renews British support for Ukraine and condemnations of the Russian attitude. Without mentioning the residence bans which, in addition to Boris Johnson, target a dozen political figures.
Among them, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defense, or even, more surprisingly, the Scottish Prime Minister Nicola Sturgeon and the former head of government Theresa May, who are therefore also affected.
A mainly symbolic measure reflecting the deterioration of relations between the United Kingdom and Russia.

In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry denounces an unbridled campaign of disinformation, and unprecedented hostile actions on the part of London.
The British government has adopted several sets of sanctions targeting, in particular, the oligarchs who own luxury residences in the capital and Russian banks.

Boris Johnson’s support for Volodymyr Zelensky, hailed by the Ukrainian president, has also led Moscow to describe the Prime Minister as ” main agitator in the war. Russia promises to include any other British politician it sees as lapsing into anti-Russian hysteria.
