Borderlands 4 Comes with Cross-Platform Feature

Gearbox Software, Borderlands 4announced that it will be released in 2025. One of the most striking features of the game will be that players will be able to come together and play together on different platforms, thanks to cross-platform (cross-play) support. Additionally, the game will be developed with Unreal Engine 5 technology, which will offer players more advanced graphics and a dynamic gaming experience.

Borderlands 4’s Cross-Platform Feature

Borderlands 4 will allow players to play together on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S platforms with cross-platform support. The online co-op mode will support up to four players. In addition, a two-player local split-screen mode will also be available in the game, but this feature will not be integrated with cross-platform.

The cross-platform feature was an innovation added to the series with Borderlands 3 and attracted a lot of attention from the players. Gearbox continues to develop and use this popular feature in its new games.

Borderlands 4 takes place on a new planet called Kairos. Players will choose one of four new Vault Hunter characters to lead a resistance against an oppressive dictator called the “Timekeeper.” The story involves players battling enemies with dynamic movement abilities and deeply customizable skill trees. Players will face a variety of enemies, from mechanical monsters to bloodthirsty bandits, and will be able to make use of a large collection of weapons.

Developing the game with Unreal Engine 5 shows that Borderlands 4 will be at a much more advanced level graphically compared to other games in the series. This will both strengthen the storytelling and provide players with a more immersive experience.

Although Gearbox has not yet announced the game’s exact release date, Borderlands 4 is expected to be released in the second half of 2025. Players are looking forward to this new adventure with new features and graphic improvements.
