Borås Zoo has euthanized all its wolves. This makes them the third large zoo in Sweden to get rid of their wolves in recent years. Zoologist Johan Jönsson says that Borås zoo really tried to avoid ending up in this situation, but that the wolf group has had some behavioral problems and has been very stressed. In the end, therefore, there were no other alternatives than euthanasia.
– We have not been able to see any other solution. We have landed in the fact that killing was the only option with regard to the welfare of the animals, he says.
