Rekindle the spark and break the routine!
Between work, children and daily tasks, it is very easy to fall into a form of routine. Routine that can quickly lead to boredom, frustration and a feeling of stagnation within the couple. This is why it is crucial to make an effort.
Introducing novelty and spicing up everyday life helps create new memories together, thus strengthening emotional bonds.
“To make your relationship more romantic, know how to surprise your partner with unexpected activities or gifts that show that you are thinking of him/her”, advises Amélie Boukhobza.
Celebrating the little moments in everyday life, expressing your love in different ways, and/or prioritizing daily quality time are all great ways to nurture your relationship. But there are other simple tricks to romanticize it too…
- Pay attention to small details. “Pay attention to details and take note of what he likes to please him“, advises Amélie Boukhobza.
- Prioritize time spent together. “Even if you have a family, create moments for two by organizing an evening with a nanny and a restaurant to meet up in lover“, the expert emphasizes.
- Know the other’s expectations. “Talk, exchange, and listen to the other person’s wants and desires, because knowing their expectations will help you surprise them and strengthen your connection.” says the psychologist.
- Create rituals. “Take time to create intimate rituals like a weekly dinner, a movie, a theater or a regular walk, depending on your tastes.“, reveals the practitioner.
- Celebrating the first moments. “Reminisce about your early days together by looking at photos or revisiting your first dates to rekindle the spark.“, confides Amélie Boukhobza.
- Introduce novelty. “Be spontaneous and try new things to escape the routine“, recommends the expert.
- To write. “Leave little notes, send messages during the day, or share a photo“, recommends the specialist.
- Think about intimate pleasure. “Finally, don’t forget the importance of sexuality, a moment of connection and supreme romanticism!“, recalls Amélie Boukhobza in conclusion.
