Boost for charters: ‘The new black’

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

More and more Swedes will travel by charter in 2023. Viggo Cavling, editor-in-chief of the travel industry’s magazine Travelnews, gives his view on why it is precisely charter trips that are increasing a lot when Swedes start traveling again after the pandemic.

– Security is the new black. Whoever is most terrified gets to decide, then safety becomes the most important thing. Going with the big charter operators like Ving, Tui and Apollo, the big charter operators, it’s safe and they’re good at taking care of people, says Viggo Cavling, editor-in-chief of the travel industry magazine Travelnews.

Recent customer surveys have also shown that people have been very satisfied with charter trips.

– We have a pent-up need for travel. In 2023, we will choose safe travel, says Viggo Cavling.

– Now it is the woman who gets to decide. We go to Crete, Mallorca or the Canary Islands, going to Florida has become too expensive, says Viggo Cavling.
