Book sales: Albin Michel, the king of the party

Book sales Albin Michel the king of the party

If there is one editor who shouldn’t be crying too much right now, it’s Albin Michel. Indeed, the Montparnasse publishing house tops our two charts, with five titles placed in the top 20 for fiction (six in the top 30) and two for essays, and this, in the best places, according to Edistats. Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt (The Jerusalem Challenge) is in second place, Marc Dugain (Tsunami), a defector from Gallimard, wins the fifth, Mélissa Da Costa (Women from around the world) and Nine Goman and Maie Alhinho (The night the stars went out) continue their beautiful flight, while Frédéric Beigbeder and his step aside (from Grasset to Albin, Confessions of a Heterosexual…) settle in 13th place. As for the tests, the very controversial Alexandra Henrion Caude (The Sorcerer’s Apprentices) continues his breakthrough (second place) and the insatiable Michel Onfray (Anima. Life and death of the soul…) lands in fourth place. Eclectic, right? Marianne Payot

This is the eighth investigation by Martin Servaz, the police commander imagined by Bernard Minier in 2012 in Ice, and it’s not the quietest. Here we are in the world of horror cinema. Among the protagonists, a cult director retired to his mountains, and a special effects specialist found dead, tied up, on his hospital bed. It is up to the commander to act… and to the readers to read en masse.
