Stichtse Vecht – The Vechtse Vaarparade can still continue. For a while there was talk that the annual event, with about 150 illuminated boats sailing through the Vecht and thousands of people along the side, would be cancelled. The municipality imposed stricter safety requirements on the event, which the organization was unable to meet.
