Maja Fredin, in turn, explores such things as overconsumption and addiction issues in her installations. The jury emphasizes that she is not only a visual artist but also a “comic observer, who in a most peculiar way puts the finger on the madness of our time”.
The scholarship includes SEK 100,000 each and an exhibition that opens on December 6 at Bonnier’s art gallery in Stockholm.
Anna Andersson and Maja Fredin will be this year’s recipients of the Maria Bonnier Dahlin scholarship. Press photo.
