There are occasionally exciting verbal battles between presenter Alexander Bommes and the hunters on Gefragt – Gejagt. On Friday, August 30tha lively conversation developed between Bommes and Manuel Hobinger.
Asked – Hunted: Bommes asked an unusual number of questions
After a question about WaPo Elbe, Bommes asked Hobinger casually whether he liked watching the show, whereupon Hobinger jokingly pointed out that he especially liked watching Asked – Hunted. This made Bommes curious, he asked further:
Even if it’s your turn? Do you also watch your own shows or do you always just watch other people’s shows?
Hobinger replied that it depends, but that he is curious to see how the quiz show will be edited in the end. The conversation could have ended here, but Bommes continued to ask the next question:
How do you feel about yourself when you see yourself here? Is it still unusual or is it normal now?
It was obvious to Hobinger that it was him now became visibly uncomfortable.
Finally Hobinger started: “I could have brought this great gag at that point.”
But then Hobinger started the conversation again and said:
I once watched my own show. I thought to myself that at this point I could have actually brought up this great gag and a short time later he does exactly this gag – i.e. me
In the meantime, Bommes, as well as everyone involved, including spectators and candidates, were able to no longer follow. Hobinger continued, saying he was surprised he hadn’t thought of the joke sooner, but did it on TV anyway. Bommes asked if Hobinger laughed at his own jokes, which he replied in the negative. Bommes continued: “That’s just like ours”
Bommes noticed the length of the conversation apologized to the candidate. The quiz show could then continue.
