Bombastic sci fi action that continues one of the biggest cult

Some things simply burn themselves into humanity’s cultural memory forever and the Matrix series is definitely one of them. After the outstanding success of The Matrix, two significantly weaker films followed, but the fourth came many years later and does everything differently. Today Matrix Resurrections comes to TV for the first time.

That’s what Matrix Resurrections is all about, the fourth part of the legendary sci-fi series

Thomas A. Anderson (Keanu Reeves) lives and works in San Francisco. The world owes him an extremely successful computer game trilogy called The Matrix, which is due to get a sequel after a long time. At least if Thomas’ boss has his way – he Game developer himself had actually vowed not to make any more sequels.

But something is wrong with Thomas and the world he lives in. He always believes that he has experienced the plot of his computer games first hand, he is plagued by delusions and he has to regularly swallow blue pills in order to somehow cope. One day He meets a mysterious woman and everything goes out of control.

We had to wait 18 years for Matrix 4 – no one expected this sequel

Anyone who knows the first three parts and then watches Matrix Resurrections will discover them immediately many parallels, allusions and meta-comments. It’s great fun to immerse yourself in this world again, to decipher what is being presented and to find out who stands for what, what has happened since the last films and what phase actually is.

Even though a lot has changed, the premise of the film remains true to the original parts. It’s about free will, whether we can believe our eyes and all of that becomes in fantastic images full of massive sci-fi action packed. Like the original trilogy, The Matrix 4 is dripping with cool and manages to give the story a new twist and update it to a new, contemporary level.

You can read more about it here, for example: The magnificent Matrix 4 redefines the sci-fi series with Keanu Reeves. But that’s not enough. We may even get a fifth part and recently Will Smith, of all people, pulled out a teaser for Matrix 5.
