It was in March last year that the incident occurred on Lasarettsgatan in Gällivare. No one was injured.
According to the prosecutor, the man was going to blow up a woman’s car with the bomb, but instead it stuck in his hand. As proof there is a conversation.
“Blow off like three fingers,” the man writes to a person on Snapchat.
Sentenced in Gällivare district court
The man was charged on four counts. He is sentenced for serious drunken driving and damage, but not a serious crime as the prosecutor demanded.
“Even if the crime of vandalism was of a serious nature by being committed with the help of explosives that could have caused significantly greater damage to others, XX is the only person who was injured,” writes the court.
The man is acquitted of serious crime against the Knife Act. The court considers that the fourth charge, violation of the law on flammable and explosive goods, is included in the damage.
The penalty: Probation with community service for 140 hours.
