Bolund thanks himself – he will do that now

After four years as spokesperson for the Green Party, Per Bolund (M) gives his thanks. Although he is officially resigning, he is not putting political views on the shelf entirely. In TV4’s Nyhetsmorgon, he talks about his future plans.
– If you are a political nerd and have a great political interest, you will probably continue to follow politics, says Per Bolund (M).

Yesterday’s Riksdag debate put an end to Per Bolund’s (MP) mouthpiece time. Now there is a lot of time with family, friends and interests that are on the schedule.

– It is clear that it has been a fantastic journey and it is an incredible opportunity to be able to represent the people of Sweden and implement the green visions, but then it will be a little nice to take things a little more calmly and be able to devote myself to my family and other interests as well, says Per Bolund (M).

Continues to follow the policy

But he does not leave the political views for good and will continue to follow politics.

– If you are a political nerd and have a great political interest, you will probably continue to follow politics. But it’s very, very fun to be able to participate and make decisions that take Sweden forward and to be part of the political work that is the basis for building our society, says Bolund (M).

– It is a pride I feel to have been part of it.

“Will keep giving it my all”

He formally resigns at the Green Party congress this weekend, but yesterday’s EU debate in the Riksdag was his last as spokesperson. Now he is open to a new assignment.

– As long as there is a component of actually reducing environmental problems and making the world a little better, I think it’s exciting.

You will work in industry – is that a good guess?

– It’s a guess as much as anyone, because I don’t have a ready plan. I have given everything and will continue to give everything in politics until Saturday when a new male spokesperson is elected in the environmental party. And then I get to see what appears, says Per Bolund (M).

– But I am very happy and proud that we set the ball rolling and then it is the industry that is rolling it forward with full force and many companies are fighting hard to become sustainable and I find that inspiring.
