Bologna airport, record number of passengers in October (+ 4.2% on 2019)

Bologna Airport negotiations continue with Ryanair for partnership renewal

(Finance) – Guglielmo Marconi Airport of Bolognaa company listed on Euronext STAR Milan that manages the Bologna airport, has registered the best October figure in its history. With a growth of 4.2% on October 2019 (last pre-pandemic year) and with a + 44.4% on October 2021, in October 2022 the airport had 841,478 monthly passengers. Domestic passengers grow significantly on 2019 (+ 28.4%), while international passengers are still slightly below pre-Covid levels (-1.8%).

In detail, 206,400 passengers were registered on October 2022 domestic flights (+ 9.7% on 2021) and 635,078 passengers on international flights (+ 60.9% on 2021). Air movements in the month were 6,306, up 1.2% on 2019 (+ 29.2% on 2021), while goods transported by air were 4,223 tons, up 24.8% on 2019 and of 19.2 on 2021.

The favorite destinations of October were: Catania, Barcelona, ​​Palermo, Madrid, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Bari, Brindisi, London Heathrow, Tirana and London Stansted.

In the period January-October 2022 7,331,731 passengers were registered (-8.1% on 2019 and + 136.9% on 2021).
