In Bolivia, the country’s former president Evo Morales says that he was the target of an armed attack on Sunday.

Morales said the attack targeted his vehicle in the city of Cochabamba while he was on his way to a radio interview.

The former president has published a video on his Facebook account, which was filmed from a moving car. In the video, he is sitting in the front passenger seat, and at least two bullet holes can be seen in the windshield.

Neither Reuters nor , the news agency reporting on the matter, has been able to independently verify the authenticity of the video.

According to Morales, the driver was wounded in the shooting.

– The car I arrived in has 14 bullet holes, the former president says.

He added that he believed the attack was planned and was intended to kill him.

In Bolivia, plagued by an economic crisis, political tensions have recently increased between supporters of the country’s former leader and the current president Luis Arcen between the government.
