It’s a long habit among gifted people: as children, they quickly understood that their ideas, which seemed crazy to others, were supported by intense reflection, the kind that inhabits the mind despite oneself and prevents one from sleeping, bringing a new clarity to facts which, sometimes, escaped understanding.

The ideas they could express sometimes triggered mockery because the other children had not yet followed these paths of reflection, they took existence as it was without questioning too much, convinced that their parents knew all the answers to the case. where a question would have tormented them. For them, priority was not yet given to existential questions. It is almost in spite of themselves that gifted children let their minds wander, but very quickly, they want to bring a little rigor to these erratic ideas, they undertake research, they read biographies of researchers or explorers. which they could perhaps one day resemble and above all which indicate to them that there exist new paths, the number of which is undoubtedly infinite. Some are undoubtedly waiting for them, no one has yet had the idea of ​​borrowing them.

When you read the interviews given by recognized scientists, most talk about a vocation that occurred very early in their young life, apparently triggered by a chance encounter, a book or a simple interview. In fact, the ground was prepared, gifted children are driven by the desire to deepen all knowledge and they do not fear venturing into little-exploited areas; This is when boldness is essential. If they follow the path they have traced for themselves, they will experience other disappointments, other injustices, but they will also meet peers, having followed a similar path and driven by the same passion, to explore new paths. ignored.

Even when carefully prepared, they put their lives in danger, but the force that pushes them is irresistible; they sometimes disappear, sometimes in a hazy manner. These accidents do not prevent gifted children, adventurous at heart, from dreaming of such exploits; they sigh when they think of the intense thrill of a discovery and they want more than anything to feel it, at least once.

Those who, very early on, like to write, rely on their inspiration to dare to launch into stories, where they are obliged to put a little of themselves. Their gifts recognized by an insightful professor, they draw encouragement to persevere and then write novels disturbing the good ordering of classic literature. Boldness then allows them to face fierce and implacable criticism.

All those who take new paths must possess this quality which takes its roots deep within oneself: audacity, but for it to be constant, productive and effective, it must necessarily be combined with intellectual gift and its beginnings are evident very early.
