A teenage girl at a youth home in Blekinge had a container of boiling water thrown over her on Thursday, writes Blekinge Läns Tidning.
The water attack was carried out by another teenage girl.
The motive is still unknown. According to police officer Helena Renberg, the incident was not preceded by any quarrel.
– One girl received second degree burns. She injured one hand quite badly, but also her face and upper body, she tells the newspaper.
The police are investigating the incident as serious assault.
