BofA does not expect “any announcement” at the next ECB meeting

(Finance) – “We do not expect any policy announcements from the ECB” in the meeting of October 26, 2023. The analysts of Bank of America in view of the next meeting of the European Central Bank, underlining that “decisions on the PEPP are unlikely before December and on mandatory reserves not before the spring and the conclusion of the review of the operational framework”.

However, BofA will pay “close attention to the discussion of the two main risks that the ECB now faces since the September meeting”: risks to oil prices in light of geopolitical developments in the Middle East; el’surge in real yields in response to the sell-off in the United States.
