The ballot boxes for the Provincial States and Water Board elections have been closed for hours. The results are a long time coming, partly due to an earlier malfunction at polling stations. It wasn’t until around 11:45 p.m. that Eemnes was the first municipality in Utrecht to publish a result, followed by Renswoude, Lopik, Vijfheerenlanden and Wijk bij Duurstede. One thing is clear: BoerBurgerBeweging is the largest party in these municipalities. Only in Woudenberg does BBB have to leave a match: the SGP is the winner there. This live blog closed at 01:00 AM.
