Boeing workers strike ended News in brief

In the United States, the employee unions of the aviation giant Boeing have accepted the contract proposal made by the company. The strike lasted seven weeks and involved more than 30,000 Boeing employees.

Employees will receive a 38 percent salary increase over the next four years. In addition to this, for example, a new employee is paid a $12,000 sign-on bonus.

Workers can return to work on Wednesday at the earliest, and production can resume in a few weeks.
