The man who disappeared after being thrown from a jet ski in Piteå on Saturday has been found dead, the police write on their website. The police diving team found the body on Monday afternoon.
On Saturday, the now dead man, who is in his 30s, rode a jet ski with another man. The other man was able to get ashore and is suspected of causing the death of another and being drunk at sea.
– He is set free but the suspicions remain, says prosecutor Rickard Finnberg.
Now, among other things, the body will be autopsied and the cause of death determined.
– There are a number of investigation measures that remain and it must take the time it needs.
