A man is missing after his boat capsized in Lake Suijajärvi in Kiruna municipality. The alarm came in to the rescue service at 9.30 in the morning.
Ambulance helicopter and six units from the rescue service have searched for the man, but at lunchtime the operation ended and was handed over to the police, writes SVT Norrbotten.
– We have not been there yet, but we will start working on the case and send out a police helicopter to search for a missing person, says Elisabeth Glaas, press spokesperson at Norrbotten Police, to TT.
According to the rescue service, it is unclear whether it was a boat or a canoe that the man was traveling in.
