The move will align bell times at both schools, which share the high school building, a board release said.

As part of the change, school bus service will move to a Grades 7-12 integrated service model, with Grade 7 and 8 students and high schoolers riding together on shared routes serving both schools, the board said.

Integrating bus service will save $74,000 a year, the board added.

The move follows Monday’s announcement of bell time changes at Dresden’s public elementary and high schools, effective Sept. 3. This includes a move to an integrated kindergarten-Grade 12 school bus service that the board expects will save $249,000 a year in transportation costs.
