In Kanis, Woerden, residents are doing everything they can to prevent a temporary bicycle bridge from being removed soon. Some are even willing to open their wallets. After five years, the villagers are attached to the fine crossing and more importantly: the bridge 200 meters further on is not safe for traffic, according to them. Still, the community persists.
