A man has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing two dogs in central Örebro.
– One of the dogs underwent emergency surgery during the night, says police spokesperson Mats Öhman.
During the night of Sunday, the police were alerted to a bloody man at a shopping center in central Örebro and could see on the spot that two dogs had been seriously injured.
– I have no information that it is legally his dogs, but it is probably his dogs, says police spokesperson Mats Öhman.
The dogs were taken to the vet and according to the police they both seem to be fine.
“Operated emergency”
– One of the dogs underwent emergency surgery during the night. But according to initial information, both appear to be fine, says Öhman.
The man was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty, alternatively aggravated animal cruelty.
– He is also being treated in hospital, but should not be seriously injured.
The dogs have now been taken into custody by the police.
