At least 17 people were killed over three days in Colombia. It concerns both gang-related murders and robbery murders. But also, for example, trade union leaders who have been attacked and killed.

For decades, Colombia has been marked by violence and conflict – between left-wing guerrillas, drug traffickers, far-right paramilitaries and the military.

The country’s newly elected president, former left-wing rebel Gustavo Petro, has promised to work for “total peace” in the country.
