The two-colored bat was seen again in early July in a residential area in Maarssen. “We had heard these bats, but we didn’t know exactly where it was staying,” says Wieneke Huls, project leader at the Mammal Society. “That’s why we put out nets here and waited until we could catch one.” That happened, which allowed them to measure the animal, weigh it and give it a transmitter.
