Rhenen – Demonstrating farmers blocked the Rhine bridge in Rhenen for about an hour this afternoon during the evening rush hour. Around 6:30 p.m., the police ordered the farmers to leave. That order was followed. According to a spokesperson for the police, no fines have therefore been handed out, and this will not happen afterwards. “The road was blocked. An instruction was given to leave the roadway. That was followed and therefore there is no question of a criminal offense.”
