Who would have thought that frogs would dominate the headlines surrounding World of Warcraft’s Remix: Mists of Pandaria? We’ll break down the drama for you again and tell you how the community reacted to Blizzard’s measures.
What is WoW Remix? The nostalgia event Remix: Mists of Pandaria is currently running in World of Warcraft, which sends all Azeroth heroes to Pandaria for a nostalgic experience point hunt. During the trip, participants can create a level 10 character, level it up to level 70, and find items that can be upgraded and improved with gems.
What’s the deal with frog farmers? Some players have found methods to farm bronze particularly efficiently. This resource is needed to upgrade equipment, but also to unlock mounts, transmog templates and toys.
One of the methods relies on the hyperspawn of frogs on the Timeless Isle. The amphibians appear there so quickly after the death of another frog that you can kill an extremely large number of frogs in a short period of time and thus receive a corresponding amount of loot.
What was the problem?
And how does the community react to this solution? Very few players are satisfied with the official post by community manager Kaivax. Some complain that Blizzard is going down the wrong path.
Or to put it another way: frog farmers are still overwhelmingly strong after the hotfix. Non-frog farmers continue to feel disadvantaged.
How do you assess the situation? Would you have hoped for a different solution from Blizzard? Simply allow Godmode for everyone for the limited-time event? Tell us in the comments! Some people are enthusiastic: WoW Remix is a stroke of genius and the best thing Blizzard could have done
