Blizzard could be working on a new, unannounced PvE game. At least that’s what two of the company’s job advertisements suggest.
Blizzard published new advertisements on their careers page. The company is looking, among other things, for a creative director and a principal designer in the area of combat for a new game.
It has not yet been specified exactly which game the employees are being sought for. So far there is only talk of an “unannounced project”.
Now there is speculation that Blizzard could be working on a new PvE game – and thus deliver exactly what the players actually wanted in Overwatch 2.

What is in the job descriptions? Blizzard’s announcement states that the new creative director will be tasked with developing and improving the previously unannounced project.
The person will “oversee narrative and visual design and lead story and world development for the unannounced project.”
The Principal Designer, Combat will also oversee the conception and production of all elements in the unannounced project, which will ensure that “combats are intuitive to learn, challenging to master and satisfyingly fun.” In addition, the combat experience will influence the Players, opponents and the environment of the game.
The job advertisement also describes that the focus should, among other things, be on making the monsters exciting and interesting opponents, “from the first threats to legendary boss fights [reichen]that players will be talking about for decades to come.”
After Blizzard announced the PvE mode in Overwatch 2 for four years, only to stop work on it in May 2023, this caused a lot of dissatisfaction among players.
Maybe the new project could start right there and give gamers the fighting experience that they wanted so much in the hero shooter.
