The Blizzard developers first revitalized in large numbers in the history of WoW Classic Hardcore. Among them are many Azeroth-Recken from the well-known streamer guild only.
Update from March 28, 2025 – 11:54 a.m. Our reader Furby pointed out that there was already a reaction of only feasts to Blizzard’s measures on Twitch.tv. Thank you for that!
You don’t want to leave the Pechschwingenhort unfinished just because some trolls want to prevent the progress with DDOS attacks there. In addition, one of the guild’s raids does not yet have the chance to visit business administration on the hardcore server.
You would therefore like to take a last ride towards Nefarian with two slaughterhouse, not this, but next weekend – since many of the key players will not be available in the next few days after the announcement from the end of ONLYFANGS.
Sodappopin and other players will pull themselves out of the regular progress everyday life of Onlyfangs after this RAID. If you want to continue playing with your characters afterwards, you can do that. The time must show whether this will happen under the banner of only cfs or with other guilds.
Original message from March 28, 2025 – 9:30 a.m. Why does Blizzard revitalize hardcore characters? For some time now, DDOS attacks have been pounding on the World of Warcraft server. This ensures long LAG tips and connections, which can quickly be fatal, especially on WoW Classic’s hardcore worlds.
After the latest DDOS attacks last week, the gaming experience was so frustrating that the well-known streamer guild only announced the end of her hardcore project if Blizzard was not able to get the problem under control and sustainably under control.
The WoW developers reacted with the announcement that the previously persecuted policy for hardcore will be adapted with a view to the DDOS attacks. Anyone who loses their virtual life in the future during a malicious mass event can be revived by Blizzard.
In WoW Classic Hardcore it can go to the spiritual healer faster than you think:
Wow: Guild loses 30 characters on a hardcore server-and it wasn’t even a boss fight

What has Blizzard announced now? A few hours ago, Blizzard’s next official statement followed in the official WoW Forum. Community Manager Kaivax writes on forum.blizzard.com:
We have started to revive player characters who have been lost on our hardcore realms in the recent DDOS attacks (Distributed Denial of Service). We initially focused on characters who died during the attacks on March 24, and we expand the scope of our review to take into account the revival of characters that were lost after this date during confirmed DDOS incidents.
For dead characters, which were transferred to normal (PVE) realms by hardcore realms, we took steps to bring these characters back to the hardcore realms in the state in which they were before the transfer, and we marked them in such a way that they are as playable the next time they have never died.
If characters die due to DDOS attacks in the future, we will only restore characters that remain on their hardcore realm. Please note that a character that dies due to a DDOS attack on a hardcore realm cannot be restored if it is then transferred to a normal (pve) realm.
In the end, the Community Manager emphasizes again: Anyone who becomes the victim of a normal LAG, Disconnect or bugs on the hardcore servers is unlucky and will not be revived.
How does the community react to the announcement? The revived characters also include the victims mentioned in the streamer guild only. We have so far not been able to discover a statement of the guild management to the revival and whether this is enough to continue the hardcore project.
Many other wow players comment on Kaivax’s announcement. Opinions could not be more different.
As soon as we discover an official reaction from ONLYFANGS, we update this message for you.
What do I need to know about ONLYFANGS? WoW Classic’s guild includes or included various known streamers and YouTubers such as Sodapoppin, but also Tyler1, Mizkif, Pirates software, Timthetan or Jaythebard, which of course mobilized their respective communities. The Hardcore factor – when the character ends up with the spiritual healer, it is gone forever – brought further spices.
In addition, the community has a number of rules imposed and played role play with their characters. And that there were always big, personal dramas from the ONLYFANGS area – like a big daily soap. All of this in combination ensured that World of Warcraft was extremely popular again thanks to ONLYFANGS on Twitch.
