Blizzard held a live stream on the future of Diablo 4 on Friday and promised some changes that were well received by fans. But one highlight wasn’t announced until a few hours after the stream.
What information came in the stream on Friday?
Horses can break through annoying barricades
This change became known after the stream: Game director Joe Shelby revealed half a day after the stream, on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. local time:
“We will allow mounts to run to break through barricades. I realized I didn’t explicitly state that in Diablo 4 Campfire Chat.”
A Twitter user jumped at the chance and demanded that climbing a ladder in Diablo 4 should also reset the mount’s cooldown.
With that, he found Shely’s ears open: That will come, he promised.
Blizzard hears numerous complaints about the hassle of traveling
Why is the change so popular? Breaking through barricades is widely perceived as a very welcome “Quality of Life” improvement because it’s just annoying in the current Diablo 4:
Since release, many complaints have come in that these barricades make travel unnecessarily cumbersome as players have to dismount and destroy them.
Plus, horse-riding through a barricade just sounds like a lot of fun.
Even the live stream with the changes there seems to have pleased many. Since the delicacy that Blizzard gives more love to the horses, has also helped.
Over 47,000 fans are watching how Blizzard makes Diablo 4 better, praising the changes live
