Sudden icy conditions are to be expected on the roads during Friday and Saturday.
The warning area is like a belt across central Sweden, from the Norwegian border out to the Baltic coast. The area includes Jämtland, parts of southern Norrland and parts of Medelpad and Hälsingland.
“Drive carefully and adjust your speed to the road conditions,” writes SMHI.
The reason for the lightning storm is a low-pressure area moving in with rain and freezing rain, which is expected to turn into snowfall.
The warnings apply starting from 10 a.m. on Friday until 1 p.m. on Saturday.
