US Secretary of State Antony Blinken traveled on Wednesday to the Ukrainian capital Kiev on a surprise visit, according to the AFP news agency.
“We expect the Secretary of State to be able to announce more than a billion dollars in new US funding to Ukraine during this visit,” said a senior US State Department official en route to Kiev.
The flash came to Kiev just hours after Ukraine repelled Russian robot attacks on the city.
