The US Secretary of State is visiting the Middle East for the ninth time since Hamas attacked Israel in October.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Tuesday that a Gaza ceasefire deal must be reached in the coming days.
Blinken added that the United States, Egypt and Qatar must do everything they can to bring Hamas on board with a US-drafted “bridge-building proposal” aimed at resolving differences between Israel and Hamas over the terms of a cease-fire.
Blinken said that as long as Hamas agrees to the proposal, the details of the agreement must be agreed upon immediately.
Blinken is now visiting the Middle East for the ninth time since Hamas attacked Israel in October.
