With the June 8 patch, Black Desert got PvP arenas. In these you do not fight with your equipment from the open world, but get special PvP gear. This eliminates the advantage that many grinders otherwise have in PvP. The new arena is correspondingly well received.
What is this innovation in PvP? The big highlight of the new update is the Arena of Solare, where you fight 3v3 against other players:
Right at the start there is a pre-season with a ranking. Everyone starts with 1,150 points and you earn points for wins and lose points for losses or if you don’t play in the arena for several days in a row. The highest rank – Solar Incarnate V – requires 2,401 points or more.
What is the requirement to enter the arena? You need level 60 and completion of the Succession/Awakening quests to participate in the PvP battles in the Arena of Solare. In our level guide, we reveal how you can quickly reach level 60.
In addition, there is currently a restriction in the time. The arena can only be entered from 17:00 to 24:00 and you cannot use seasonal characters for it.
This video gives you a first insight into the Arena of Solare:

How exactly does the equipment work? Equipment plays an important role in previous PvP content such as outpost battles, the “Red Battlefield” or open-world PvP. Anyone who grinds a lot or uses real money for upgrades is significantly stronger than any newcomer or veteran who does not invest that much time.
In the new PvP arena you get special equipment that only works there. At the beginning you have access to basic stats and crystals. Over time, you’ll collect the new Seals of Solare currency, which you can use to unlock new equipment and new crystals.
This new equipment offers different effects or strengthens other attributes.
How does the arena arrive? Really good. Both in reddit and on YouTube, the players roll over with praise. This is mainly due to the standardized equipment:
What are the critics saying? So far, there has been criticism mainly for individual bugs and the low rewards in the arena. There are also some players who find the strong control effects (crowd control) in the game annoying. However, this is also experienced in other Black Desert PvP content.
What do you think of the new PvP arena? Does the concept appeal to you and could you see yourself starting or going back to Black Desert because of that? Feel free to write it in the comments.
Only in April did the MMORPG get a new expansion that had a lot to offer, especially for newcomers and PvE fans:
Black Desert is becoming more of a theme park MMORPG with the new expansion and that’s great
