For the 8th birthday of the MMORPG Black Desert Online, the developers released a short video full of memories that is primarily intended to celebrate the players themselves.
Black Desert Online is known as the game that established action MMORPGs from Asia on consoles. Since the console release 5 years ago, many MMORPGs from Asia have followed suit and have been released on the Playstation and Xbox, or are planning to do so in the future.
Black Desert Online itself is now celebrating its 8th birthday and looks back on many memories.
How do the developers celebrate their history? The South Korean developers are currently celebrating the eighth birthday of their MMORPG Black Desert Online. They’re probably also celebrating the €2 billion they’ve raised from the game over the last few years.
Above all, they want to thank their players and the community in a video. “Let’s look back at the journey we’ve been on,” it says at the beginning of the short video. The following are some memories that focus primarily on the moments the players shared:
What does the video look back on? In the video, the developers celebrate, among other things, some of the moments that the players experienced as a community in the MMORPG. They look back on various events and mini-games, such as a rowing boat race, a cart race or a chair dance.
In addition to a look back at the different outfits in which players went on their adventures, the concerts held together by the game masters and players are also remembered. In the video you can see some pictures and small sequences of the memories.
Screenshots, fanart and streams from the players are also shared in the video and even the players who have recreated the food on Black Desert Online in real life are given attention here.
The video makes it clear that after these eight years, the developers not only see themselves and their success, but also seem really happy about their community.
