Black Adam bids farewell to the DC Universe for now

After Henry Cavill left the role of Superman, Dwayne Johnson also announced that the Black Adam character will not be in the DC Universe.

On the DC side, the waters are literally overcast right now. After the arrival of James Gunn, to whom Warner Bros handed over the universe and agreed to restart it, the leaves began to fall on the DC side. After the canceled Wonder Woman movie, we learned that Henry Cavill said goodbye to the character of Superman. Finally, the famous actor Dwayne Johnson announced that the Black Adam character will not be in the DC Universe.

The continuation of the news may be a spoiler for those who have not watched the Black Adam movie.

Black Adam played by Dwayne Johnson has said goodbye for now

If you remember, when the Black Adam movie was released, it was stated that the new DC universe would be shaped around this character, and we saw a possible encounter in the certain scene at the end of the movie. Of course, with the takeover of James Gunn, we can say that as many things have changed, the stones have moved on the Black Adam side.

Dwayne Johnson, who gave life to the character, announced that he met with James Gunn and said goodbye to the character for now. We say for now because there is no search for another actor for Black Adam as in Superman. The Black Adam character is currently not being considered for the first phases in the DC Universe only. In other words, we may see if the character is involved in the events in the future, but frankly, I think this is a very difficult possibility. Dwayne Johnson’s statement is as follows:

“Dear friends, I wanted to give you the long-awaited Black Adam reveal regarding the character’s future in the new DC Universe. James Gunn and I have met. Black Adam will not be in the first episode of the DC Universe. However, DC and the Seven Bucks are not exactly what Black Adam is to future DC. “James and I have known each other for years and have always supported each other’s success. Now it’s no different, and I will always support DC (and Marvel) win and WIN BIG.”

After 15 years of nonstop work to make Black Adam, I’m proud of the movie we’re bringing to fans around the world. I will always look at the fans’ reaction to Black Adam with great gratitude, humility, and love. We did a great job. To my passionate and uplifting fans of the Black Adam/Super Hero genre – I love you, THANK YOU and I WILL ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOU and do my best to entertain you.”
