Silberstein expressed his concern about the Sweden Democrats’ success in the election and highlighted the fact that people with connections to Nazism were among the party’s founders.
Silberstein also brought up the debate he had in P1 before the last election with Björn Söder, who was then second deputy speaker. The theme of the debate was Swedishness.
– He claimed with emphasis that I could not be Swedish, says Silberstein about that debate, which Söder opposes.
“Willy Silberstein is allowed in SVT to stand and utter pure lies completely unchallenged. Absolutely incredible!”, writes Söder on Twitter.
In another tweet, he writes:
“Now, ban me, SVT must tighten up and stop with pure propaganda elements. Kvällens Aktuellt should be immediately reported for bias. And the public service must be fundamentally reformed!”, writes Söder on Twitter.
Possible new chairman
Söder, who was second deputy speaker after the 2014 election, is one of the names being raised as a possible new speaker in the Riksdag. This is because the Moderates’ principle until now has been that the largest party in a government constellation gets to appoint the speaker. The Social Democrats’ line is that it is the largest party in the Riksdag that gets to appoint the speaker.
Willy Silberstein comments on Söder’s statement on Twitter for Expressen:
– I’m not surprised. SD screams at the top of their lungs as soon as they receive criticism. They don’t deal with the criticism in substance, but jump down to other things, he says.
