Although she was ill just before the World Cup, Elvira Öberg managed to perform during the championship and take three medals.
SVT expert Björn Ferry thinks she has more to give in the future.
– I think there is another level, he tells SVT Sport.

She finished with two second placements (hunting start and mass start) in Holmenkollen.
– Obviously it means a lot. It once again shows how well I have done it this year. There are a few components that have been very bad. Otherwise, there is a lot that has been incredibly good and I feel that I have taken a step, she tells Sportbladet.

There were also three medals in the World Cup in Swiss Lenzerheide in February. First a silver in the hunting start, then bronze in the baton followed by a gold in the mass start. It was her first World Cup gold ever.
– It’s absolutely incredible. I thought that was not possible today. It felt pretty good at first, but then it’s like the wall is coming on the third lap. I will hardly get to the finish it felt like then. It was just trying to gather the little focus I had left and put it on the embankment, she told SVT afterwards.
Björn Ferry’s words about Elvira Öberg
Now has SVT’s expert commentator Björn Ferry46, took on the task of summarizing the seasons of the Swedish biathlons. When he talks about Elvira Öberg, he says something that most Swedes agree with.
– Nice season. She was good at the premiere in Finland. She was good at the end in Holmenkollen. She became world champion at the World Cup. A really good season from Elvira Öberg. But I think there is one more level, he tells SVT Sport.

He also says what it is he expects her to succeed in the future, so that she will take another step. He places demands on her for the future.
