Björklöven beat Djurgården 6–1.
When the team was about to shake hands, a big fight broke out.
– It’s a frustrated group that gets to get on the bus down to Stockholm, says Björklöven captain Axel Ottosson in TV4’s broadcast.
Djurgården started briskly in the first period and when Dick Axelsson opened the scoring in the opening period, Björklöven was out.
So out of whack that head coach Björn Hellkvist pulled the handbrake and took a timeout.
A stroke of genius, in retrospect.
Viktor Eklund left
For Björklöven came back and won a first period with 3–1.
Djurgården’s otherwise sharp powerplay got nowhere and when Viktor Eklund left in the second period, the team lost an important weapon in the offensive.
Löven, on the other hand, continued to press and went up to 6-1 in the third after a goal from Macus “Lilliz” Nilsson – the new acquisition’s seventh goal of the autumn.
Second scorer
It was also the last of the evening – the match ended 6–1 to Löven, who maintains the league lead.
For Djurgården, it was only the team’s second clean sheet this season.
The first came in an away derby against AIK.
Argument afterwards
After the match – when the players were to thank each other and shake hands – a fight broke out when Marcus Krüger pushed Lucas Lagerberg over.
An action that was followed by bus whistles from the home crowd.
– It’s a frustrated group that gets to get on the bus down to Stockholm, says Björklöven captain Axel Ottosson in TV4’s broadcast.
– Now we’re going home and shooing the cars forward.
