The 13-year-old had been reported missing since Friday last week. He was found at 06:00 on Monday morning and according to information to SVT Nyheter he must have been shot to death. What is behind the boy’s death is still unclear.
– It is extremely tragic when a child loses their life. It is impossible to describe the sadness, says Peter Bragner, primary school director in the city of Stockholm.
The school is an F-9 school where the youngest children are only 6 years old. The way the staff talk to the children about what happened therefore looks different depending on the grade.
– When it comes to the smaller children, we unfortunately know from previous experience that the most important thing is to meet the children’s questions and not force them into grief work. They also need to let it go, run outside and play and there is nothing wrong with that, says Peter Bragner.
Parents nocturnal
After the announcement on Tuesday evening, the school’s parents’ association went on a night walk in Björkhagen.
– It’s terrible, it’s hard to put the feeling into words, says Stina Billgren, who chairs the parents’ association at Björkhagen’s school.
The night walks will continue to do so in the coming days.
– There will be many young people in the area who need extra adults, says Stina Billgren.
“An area in mourning”
Stina Billgren says that there was no fear in the area during the night walk, but warmth and sadness.
– It is nice in the terrible situation to see the commitment there is for young people here, she says and continues:
– We are an area in mourning, but we are also very united and determined that we are the ones who own the development and we have to work even harder to take care of each other.
