Björg on the stores’ multi-offers: “I don’t go for that”

Multi-offers in the grocery store lead to us throwing away more food. According to Ulf Mazur, who is CEO and founder of food price check, these offers lead to customers buying more than they have time to eat, which in turn results in increased food waste.

– They have increased this year compared to last year. But it differs a lot between the chains, says Ulf Mazur.

Can sometimes attract

In order for it to pay off, you sometimes need to buy very large quantities, which some SVT spoke to think may be unnecessary, but also something they tend to pick up on.

– I nibble sometimes, but it has also happened that I have had to throw it away because it hasn’t been eaten, says Alma Shabani.
