The Assyrian bishop who was stabbed in a western Sydney church earlier this week says he forgives his attacker.

– I forgive whoever it is who has committed this act and want to say to him: You are my son and I will always pray for you, says the bishop in a YouTube video.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested after the crime, suspected of having stabbed a total of three people. The incident is being investigated as a terrorist offence.
