Matskiftet has published a post on Instagram announcing the winning flavor in the 2024 People’s Choice competition, where followers can submit their own flavor suggestions for a new Billy’s pizza.
The flavor that was crowned winner in the competition is called “Choco loco”. On the packaging it says that the pizza consists of a mixture of crème fraiche, chocolate, coconut and cookie crumbs. Matskiftet also announces that the flavor will be available in stores from week 40 onwards.
But the reactions to the taste experience are mixed, with some distancing themselves from the sweet pizza

“Puke in the mouth”
Far from everyone is particularly positive about the chocolate-flavored pizza. A less eager follower has commented on Matskiftet’s posts on Threads and pointed out that they are downright disgusting:
“I think I threw up in my mouth just a little bit, thanks Billys”
Other followers have responded to the account’s post on Instagram, pointing out that the flavor combination must be a joke:
“Must be a joke? How the hell could this have won the taste competition? Do people have such bad taste? But yes, if you like the taste of browned butter on chips, then the step to a pan pizza with the combination of creme fraiche, chocolate, coconut and cheese is probably not right especially long. Hot one too.”

“Don’t really understand what the problem is!
Even though most people seem to have a hard time with the chocolate pizza, there are some of the followers who are more positive about the taste experience:
“Sounds delicious, it’s a dessert after all, I don’t really understand what the problem is for people. Maybe something you eat instead of a pizza like that, that’s hardly the idea either.”, comments a more encouraging follower in the post.
And others follow suit by saying that a dessert-flavored pizza could be something new and groundbreaking:
“It’s clear that there must be a pizza for dessert! It’s nice that Dafgårds dares. It’s probably only a seasonal item.”
