Former foreign minister Tobias Billström (M) suddenly and unexpectedly left the government just over a month ago. Now it is clear what he will do instead. He will run his own business and hold lectures and trainings, the Altinget reports. The lecturers must have a geopolitical orientation and he must hold training courses and conduct counseling in leadership.

Billström will work for the company himself and not employ anyone, writes the newspaper, which has taken note of Billström’s notification to the Karensnämnden about starting a limited company.

The careers board examines new employment or assignments with, for example, former ministers. The board, which can prevent or place restrictions on the assignment during a transition period, approved the application on Tuesday.

The board assesses that “the knowledge he (Billström) acquired as a minister does not give rise to any such risk that could justify a transitional restriction”, writes chairperson Anna Skarhed in the decision according to the Alting.
