The 57 Muslim countries in the Islamic Cooperation Organization OIC strongly condemn Sweden and Denmark after the high-profile Koran burnings.
The member states agreed on 35 points on how to respond to the Koran burnings, and there the countries are asked, among other things, to consider independent measures – political and economic – against the two Nordic countries.
In his comment on Xwhich was previously called Twitter, Billström writes that:
“(The resolution) contains a number of proposals and recommendations. We will study these carefully and continue our important dialogue with the OIC and OIC member states. We have an interest in close cooperation”.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs then states that “an analysis of the legal situation, including the Public Order Act, is underway at the Ministry of Justice”.
