In 2024, France adopted a bill on “fast fashion”, aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the textile industry. But while it was voted unanimously at the National Assembly, the ambition of the law was revised downwards during its visit to the Sustainable Development Committee in the Senate on March 17. Senators must now decide on this new text in public session. The vote is expected on June 10.
