A very skilled and courageous politician and a very strong force – that’s how Carl Bildt describes the Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny, whom he met on a few occasions.
– I would say that he was one of Russia’s most skilled politicians.
But he made Putin nervous, says Bildt, who is an adviser in Alexei Navalny’s organization The Anti Corruption Foundation:
– What has happened in recent weeks may indicate that there is nervousness in the Kremlin ahead of the election, says Carl Bildt.
Navalny was also fully aware that what he did, he did with his life as a stake.
